Eddie White Stays Strong in Modified Sportsman at Thunder Mountain
(Center Lisle, NY) Beautiful weather brought with some nice montem outdoor gear and equipment a nice size crowd with to the Thunder Mountain Speedway for Spring Championships. Eddie White (Modified Sportsman) and Rich Talada (Hurricane Street Stocks) made it back to back wins in their divisions. Other Winners included: Chris Fleming (IMCA Modifieds), George Brown (Road Bandits) and Ken \Winn (Road Warriors).
Eddie White and Jim LaRock brought the Hunts Auto Service Modified Sportsman field to the green flag for their 25-lap feature event. White and LaRock would open up a 3 car length advantage over Kenny Hammond who was chasing them down in the opening 10 laps. The only caution of the race came out on lap 12 when PJ Goodwin had a mechanical problem going into turn 1 and spun. White and LaRock \sent it back green and LaRock got the advantage on the high side going into turns 1 and 2 but White shut the door going down the backstraight. White would lead the remaining 13 laps to go on and score his 3rd victory of the 2010 racing season. LaRock finished 2nd with Hammond, Billy Spoonhower and Brian White completing the top
5 finishers. Ryan Olsommer and Larry Hillis won the 8-lap heat races held for the division.
Rich Talada has been dominate in the Dougs Trash Removal Hurricane Street Stock division this race season and he scored his 4th win of the season at Spring Championships. Talada started in....more
